Cannabis Voters’ Guide

Sensible Change Minnesota surveyed over 400 state legislative candidates for their position on cannabis law reform. Candidates were asked about medical cannabis program changes, adult use cannabis legalization, and decriminalization of cannabis. We hope you’ll take some time to research the candidates on your ballot and support those who support us — the patients, cannabis consumers, and Minnesotans disproportionately impacted by cannabis prohibition.

Note: These document will be regularly updated as we receive responses from candidates. Please reach out to the candidates in your district if you do not see their answers.

Sensible Change Minnesota continues its commitment to sensible drug policy reform that includes medical cannabis reforms, adult use cannabis legalization, removing barriers to harm reduction services, and reducing interactions with the criminal justice system for people who use drugs. Our political committee submitted an extensive questionnaire to candidates for the state legislature, and after volunteer input and approval by our Board of Directors, we recognize these candidates as friends of drug policy reform. We hope you will join us in supporting their campaigns, so we can make big changes to state law in 2021!
